MEMBERSHIP RULES

Classes of Membership
1. Full Membership - unlimited use of the Club facilities whenever the Club is in operation.

2. Honorary Membership - unlimited use of the Club facilities whenever the Club is in operation for elected officials
as designated by the Board of Governors. Honorary Members do not pay dues, nor vote to elect the Board of
Governors.

3. Swim Membership - no longer offered to incoming Members, but previous Members of this class have been
grandfathered when this class of membership was eliminated.

Membership Units
1. Family Membership - Adults that are married and living in the same household. Adults that are not married may
or may not fall under a Family Membership, depending on the circumstance as determined in the sole discretion of
the Board of Governors. A child is considered part of a Family Membership if he or she is age 26 or below,
regardless of his or her marital status or domicile.

2. Single Membership - An individual who joins by him or herself.
Immediate Family members (specifically,
spouses, resident significant others, and children under age 26) of Single Members may attend the Club as a
Guest of any Club Member no more than three times total per summer per individual.  (Attendance at the Mid-
Summer Party shall be an exception to this rule, and shall not count towards the three visit maximum.)

3. The total number of Membership Units shall not exceed 250.

Leave of Absence
1. A Member may take a Leave of Absence (LOA) before the start of a new season, for an indefinite period of
time, as long as the annual LOA fee is paid when due.

2. The Membership Unit Classification during the LOA shall be the same classification as it was at the end of the
season prior to the LOA.

3. The construction assessment due when a LOA Member returns to the club will be calculated as the difference
between the construction fee assessed at the time the LOA Member rejoins the club and the construction fee
already paid by the Member.

4. An annual fee of 5% of Family membership shall be incurred in order to remain on the Leave of Absence list.

5. If an LOA Member does not pay the annual LOA fee when due and then seeks re-admission, that LOA Member
may apply for re-admission but will be considered as a new applicant, with no LOA priority or credit for the
construction payment.

Membership Priority
The Board of Governors will establish, periodically review and change the priority acceptance order from the
membership waiting list at its sole discretion. The current acceptance priority order is as follows:

a. Returning Leave of Absence
b. Child of Member
c. Bailiwick Association
d. Non-Member Applications.

Membership Acceptance
The Board or its designee interviews all prospective Members after an application and two sponsorship forms are
filled out and returned to the Membership Committee. If two Board Members object to the applicant joining the
Club, the applicant is rejected.

Au Pair Policy
An Au Pair, or equivalent child care employee, is not considered a part of your family membership. The Au Pair
must be signed in at the front desk on every Club visit. If your Au Pair is working at the Club, up to, but no more
than three times a month, then you may sign the Au Pair in as guest each time. A Member’s family member cannot
be defined as Au Pair relative to this policy.

Any Au Pair working at the Club more than three times a month must be registered on the Au Pair list at the front
desk. There will be a seasonal fee equivalent of 5% of the then Family Membership fee (see rate schedule). This
is an Au Pair fee, not a membership fee. The Au Pair may attend the Club as your employee, expressly to work
supervising your children. Only one Au Pair per family will be permitted at the Club at one time. Unless registered
as a guest for that particular day, the Au Pair may not come to the Club. Your Au pair must be providing childcare
services while in attendance at the Club or must be signed in as a guest for the day.

Au Pairs are permitted anywhere at the Club, including the tennis courts as long as the Au Pair is providing care
for your children. An Au Pair is NEVER permitted at the Club without a family Member.
