Tennis Tournaments
1. A player must be at least 17 years old on the day of the tournament to participate.
2. Tournaments and league play follow their own rules for court time and assignment. Check with Bailiwick’s
Director of Tennis, the Bailiwick Club calendar and bulletin boards for these event dates, court time and
assignment.
3. A nominal fee will be charged to tournament participants.
4. At Member/guest events, a separate guest fee will be included in the tournament fee.
5. Tournament players may invite guests as spectators without being charged a guest fee. A tournament player’s
guest visit does not count towards one of the THREE (3) guest visits for the month per Bailiwick Club’s guest rules.
Family Members of tournament players are welcome to enjoy the tournament catered food and beverage with the
players, but not to use any of the Club facilities.
6. Tournaments are run by at least one Bailiwick Club tennis professional.
Club Tennis Teams
1. All Members are eligible to play on the Bailiwick Club teams participating in the Fairfield County tennis leagues,
pursuant to league rules and restrictions. The Director of Tennis is responsible for organizing team tryouts.
2. The Bailiwick Director of Tennis and/or designee will determine the players on each team as well as the position
of the players in each match.
3. A nominal fee will be charged to Members participating on the Bailiwick Club teams.
Tennis Program
The Bailiwick Club Tennis Program includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. Lessons with Bailiwick Club professional.
2. A junior tennis program
3. Tennis tournaments
4. Men's and Women's Ladders
5. One free hour lesson for each NEW Bailiwick Club family.
6. Free tennis clinic to children at the Bailiwick Club Opening Party.
